Junior table tennis achievers recognised

Junior table tennis was recognised in Warrington tonight at Warrington Table Tennis Club's end of season awards. Connor Whitehead, Jordan Glendenning, Alex Flint, Jonny Pine, Yubo Zhou Rasmussen and Daniel Clarke received player of the season awards in their age groups and leagues and Amy Hutchings was nominated as the club's junior ambassador for the 2014-15 season.
The evening started with a drawn doubles tournament, won by Alex Storey and Matthew Halsall, who defeated David Eden and Alex Flint in a five-game final, winning 12-10 in the 5th.
There were awards for many of Warrington's players who achieved tournament and league successes during the 2013-14 season. The achievements of Danni Eden and Alex Storey, two of the regions best known junior players, were singled out for a special mention as they both come to the end of their time as junior players.
Warrington Table Tennis Club is currently recruiting players for the 2014-15 season which starts in September. No experience is necessary and the club encourages children from age-7 upwards to come down and give it a try during the Summer holidays: Mondays 6-7 pm and Fridays 7-9 pm - open throughout the Summer. Club Ambassador 2014-15:
Amy Hutchings
Amy Hutchings plays in the Junior British League, Warrington League, Liverpool League, Lancashire & Cheshire League and plays in the County League for Lancashire and competes in Junior Open tournaments. Amy was selected as the club's junior ambassador as a player who embodies the club's values, rises to challenges, shows dedication in persuit of excellence and has a positive sporting attitude. Amy will lead and represent Warrington Table Tennis Club at tournaments and events around the country during the 2014-15 season.
Junior Player of the Season 2013-14:
Jonny Pine
Awarded for achieving the most match wins in the NJL: 26 wins from 38 played.
Cadet Player of the Season 2013-14:
Alex Flint and Jordan Glendenning
Awarded for achieving the most match wins in the NCL: 32 wins each.

Awarded for achieving the most match wins in the WDL: 49 wins from 62 played.
Warrington & District D2 Player of the Season 2013-14:
