Four Warrington juniors selected for NW team

Connor Whitehead, Jordan Glendenning, Alex Flint and Alex Weatherby to take part in U11-14s National Championships.
Four Warrington juniors have made it through to the National Championships, which take place in Doncaster, 31 May and 1 June.
The four made it through regional trials at Halton this weekend, contested by the largest entry in recent years: 100 of the brightest juniors in the North West competing for a place at the National Championships.
There were four places available in each of the age groups: Jordan and Connor qualified in the under 14s age group; Alex and Alex qualified in the under 11s age group.

Jordan Glendenning, now thirteen, started playing table tennis aged nine. 2014 will be Jordan's second appearance at the English National Finals.
Connor Whitehead, remarkably, only started playing competitive table tennis 12 months ago. Connor, fourteen, progressed quickly and has been an important player in Warrington's U15s and U18s teams this season.
Alex Weatherby, at just nine years old, is the youngest of the four. 2014 will be his first appearance at the finals.
Alex Flint, the current under 11s Cheshire Schools Champion, started playing table tennis aged six. Now aged eleven 2014 will be his second appearance at the finals.
