Wolf eats bats and balls

Warrington Wolves' Wolfie joined Warrington Table Tennis Club to try his paws at table tennis today but, after being unable to beat the top table tennis juniors in the town, ate his way through the bats and balls.
Warrington Table Tennis Club's juniors were delighted when Warrington Rugby Wolves mascot, Wolfie, joined them for a game of table tennis at the the Decathlon sports store today, but their delight didn't last when the big bad wolf decided to eat all of the balls and then started munching on the bats.
Wolves mascot Wolfie, after eating the bats and balls, eyes up Warrington table tennis junior Alex Weatherby. Jordan Glendenning (pictured right) thinks twice about intervening to save the eight year-old.
Wolfie didn't even manage a single shot in his game against Alex Weatherby. Each time Alex served Wolfie would simply eat the ball. After a full course of table tennis balls a despondent Alex approached Wolfie to complain, but the huge wolf stole Alex's bat and ate that too. The club's coaches and older juniors hid behind the shop fittings as Wolfie then eyed up the eight year old for desert. Thirteen year-old Jordan Glendenning almost came to Alex's rescue, but wisely thought better of tackling the beast.
Warrington Table Tennis Club is considering mounting an official complaint to Warringtion Wolves Rugby's management about their mascot's behaviour today.
The remainder of the open day at Decathlon went off without incident: there were sports tasters for local children to take part in, organised by Warrington's junior sports clubs, including badminton, boxing, cycling and archery. Warrington Table Tennis Club's juniors gave a taste of table tennis to around 75 children who were visiting the store for the day, including Kitty, pictured below with Alex Weatherby and Konark Pathak.
