- First championship in three years
Warrington Table Tennis Club this weekend secured the Halton National Cadet League title, pushing rivals Stockport into second and Halton into third.
Warrington's 2014-15 first team squad comprised Jordan Glendenning, Connor Whitehead, Callum Tizard and Johann Power. At the start of the day Warrington were five points clear of rivals Stockport and Halton at the top of division one, but would be without Johann who was unavailable for the final day.

"We knew we had a good points margin and would need to at least match Halton's and Stockport's results as the day progressed. We felt confident and focused on the task ahead," explained Warrington's Connor Whitehead.
Three 6-0 wins early in the day, including against Stockport, meant that by lunch time the result wasn't going to be in doubt and that the title would be returning to Warrington for the first time in three years.
