Warrington Table Tennis Club achieves Clubmark

Warrington Table Tennis Club has achieved the prestigious Clubmark, which accredits its environment for junior members and its commitment to being run to national operating standards for sports clubs.
Clubmark is endorsed by all the main sporting, youth and education agencies involved in delivery of sporting opportunity for young people, including the English Table Tennis Association (ETTA), the National Governing Body for table tennis, which endorsed Warrington Table Tennis Club’s Clubmark.
More than 10,000 clubs covering over thirty different sports are currently Clubmark accredited or working towards the award.
Warrington Table Tennis Club Chairman, Kevin Eden, oversaw the club’s achievement of Clubmark and commented: “We’ve established a first-class sporting environment for junior table tennis players in the Warrington area and achieving Clubmark is a significant milestone in the development of the club. It shows to all those connected with the club and the wider sport that we are aiming to deliver great sporting experiences and standards in table tennis.”
Warrington Table Tennis Club has a thriving junior membership covering all ability levels from beginner to advanced, including some of the North West region’s top junior table tennis talent. The club has no fewer than seven coaches operating under the direction of its head coach, former England international Sue Harper, who oversees the club’s coaching strategy. The club also runs several teams competing in both local and national leagues. This weekend, its cadet’s first team won the 2010/11 season National Cadet League Division One title at the Halton Regional Table Tennis Centre.
