Warrington success in debut season

For the 2012-13 season Warrington entered two teams, mostly comprising junior players, in Division 2 of the local league.
Its A team included juniors: MIchael Eaton, Andrew Rhodes, Jonny Pine, Toby Williamson and Matthew Walker. The team finished in fourth place.
Its B team included Alex Poyner, Matthew Halsall, Jordan Glendenning, Rachael Scott, Aidan Ferrie and Gavin Faulkener. The team finished in sixth place.
Team manager, Rob Clarke, said: "Both our new teams have done well this season to finish in the top half of the division. The club's juniors were competing against players with vastly more experience and many of our players were in their first season in the league. Warrington is in good shape to push on next season and it wouldn't surprise me if we were able to challenge for promotion."
The club singled out Andrew Rhodes' performances during the season which helped the A team to finish in fourth place. "Andrew was one of the founding members of Warrington Table Tennis Club when it started out at the Daten Centre seven years ago. He's played for many years, initially for Culcheth and this season for Warrington in its debut season. Andrew has played more matches in the local league over the last two seasons than any other junior player," added Rob Clarke.
The club also provides junior players for Lymm and two of the Culcheth teams: Yubo Zhou Rasmussen strengthened Lymm A and is playing well in the league week in week out; Alex Storey helped Culcheth A to secure the division one league title; David Eden, Danni Eden and Daniel Clarke form the Culcheth D team that finished in an impressive fourth place in division one.
