Warrington Juniors: up and running

Newly promoted Warrington is up and running in the L&C Junior Premier League, following two wins and two losses in match-day one of the 2012-13 season.
The junior team were missing their number one player, Alex Storey, for the first encounter of the season but managed wins against Halifax B and Barrow after suffering losses to Halifax A, the league favourites and Wirral.
Coach, Mark Bleakley, said: "With our most experienced player unavailable it was important to at least get some points on the board. The team gave a good account of themselves, performing very well against higher-ranked players. The two wins against Halifax and Barrow place us in mid table and we're looking forward to challenging the stronger teams again later in the season.
