Warrington TTC head coach, Sue Harper, said: "Each of our players performed very well today. Warrington has a history of strong performances in Blackpool over the years and our new crop of young players fully deserve all of their successes. They've each started the season well, training hard and it paid off for them this weekend."
The Blackpool 2 Star Junior Open is one of several junior tournaments taking place in the North West during the season and attracts the region's top junior table talent across four age bands: U11s, U13s, U15s and U18s.
The performances in Blackpool top a strong opening to the season for all six Warrington players and a particularly strong month for the Scott sisters: at the Ulster Junior Open in Belfast, on Sunday 14th October, Nicole won bronze in the U11s - the eight year-old's best achievement to date, while elder sister Rachael won her qualifying group, defeating the number 5 seed in the process; both performances are especially noteworthy as the level of competition in Befast was very high.
