Warrington Juniors at 2012 Nationals

Five of Warrington TTC's juniors battled their way through the 2012 National Finals this June.
Daniel Clarke, David Eden, Rachael Scott, Nicole Scott and Jordan Glendenning recently competed in the 2012 National U11/12/13/14 Finals in Birmingham, competing against the country's top young players.
"To have five players representing Warrington Table Tennis Club at the Nationals is a considerable achievement," said head coach Sue Harper. "David, Daniel, Rachael, Nicole and Jordan have each had strong seasons and to make it through to the nationals was a great end to the season and fully deserved."
Highlights included group wins for David, Daniel, Rachael and Nicole, with Daniel and Rachael progressing to the knockout rounds, before both being stopped in the second round, and Jordan taking games off more experienced opponents.
David Eden and Daniel Clarke also competed in the U14s boys doubles, seeded 16, winning their first round match 11-9 in the fifth against the number 12 seeds, before being put out by number 1 seeds, Marcus Giles and Hugo Pang, in the second round.
