Warrington Table Tennis Club clinched the Halton NCL Division Three title on Sunday.
Warrington's cadet league division three team won the title on the final day of the season in the last match of the season with wins against Denbigh and Halton and draws against Stockport and Wirral.
The team went into match-day four in third place, but with just three points separating 1st and 3rd it was all to play for and Warrington's youngest-ever team to compete in the league put up a series of convincing performances.
Team coach Peter Flint said: "we knew that it could go right down to the wire. The league was very close and any one of four teams could have won it. We clinched the title during the very last match against Halton."
Warrington's team comprised Tom Reed (13), Lewis Brook (13), Alex Flint (9) and Elizabeth Poyner (9).

WTTC head coach Sue Harper said: "each of our three cadet teams have performed well in the league this year. Our first team finished third in division one - a strong achievement for the players who all stepped up to division one for the first time this season. The second team performed well in division two with four new players each competing in the league for the first time. And our youngest-ever team, competing in the third division, securing impressive wins."
