Warrington cadet's A team went in to match-day two, on 12 December, joint top of the league with Halton, with Wirral New Ferry a close third. The Warrington team, Alex Storey, Daniel Clarke and David Eden, won against all five teams - a first for Warrington's cadets - putting Warrington in a very strong position at the season's half-way mark.
For Warrington to put some distance between themselves and their rivals, Warrington had to win against an impressive Halton team, which they just managed 4-2, having drawn their first encounter with Halton in the season opener in October. A further win against Wirral New Ferry and three other teams from the region helped Warrington to pull away at the top of the league.

Daniel Clarke's unexpected win over Halton's Jamie Lunn helped Warrington to a 4-2 match win over the Halton team, their closest league rivals.
In division three, Warrington's B team delivered a strong performance, with three wins and two a draws, and keeping pressure on the teams around them in the division. "A great performance," said team manager Kevin Eden who added: "when you consider that the team were two players down, those who stepped in for the day did very well indeed to ensure we didn't lose a single match."
Alex Poyner and Matthew Halsall (both pictured above) along with team-mate Liam Laurence helped Warrington B to three wins and two draws on match-day two.
The C team, Evan Nichol, Emma Halsall, Rio Laurence and Nick Nolan, some of Warrington's youngest players, tried very hard throughout the day and just couldn't quite manage to get their first win. "The experience that these young players are gaining will stand them in good stead for the future," added Kevin.
