Rachael Scott gets a winning start
Posted by Warrington TTC on 28 February 2012
Racael Scott, one of Warrington Table Tennis Club's newest players, got off to a flying start by winning the Blackpool Junior Open U13s on 19 February.
It was Rachael's first competitive tournament since joining the Warrington club and her experience, ability and a consistent performance shone though, proving too strong for her opponents.
Rachael joined Warrington Table Tennis Club in January along with her sister Nicole - both experienced young players. Head Coach, Sue Harper said: "Winning in the Blackpool Open is a great achievement for Rachael who has made a positive start at the club and is training hard. Rachael fully deserved her win in Blackpool."

Rachael also competed in the cadets category, and it took England Girls U15s number 4, Emily Bolton, to prevent Rachael from progressing further in this older age band. "Rachael is competing against some of the country's top young players and is proving that she has what it takes to do well in the sport. A great performance from a promising young player," added Sue Harper.
