Four Warrington juniors qualify for English Nationals

Alex Weatherby, Liz Poyner, James Courtney and Alexander Flint qualify for English National Table Tennis Championships; will represent the North West Region.
Three Warrington Table Tennis Club juniors, Alex Weatherby, Liz Poyner, James Courtney and Alexander Flint, have qualified for the English National Championships, reaching the top level in the sport: Liz and James in the under 13s, James again and Alexander in the under 12s and Alex in the under 11s age band.

The English National Championships takes place over the weekend of 6-7 June in Sheffield, with the country's top table tennis girls and boys, competing in under 11s, 12s, 13s and 14s.
Sue Harper, head coach, Warrington Table Tennis Club, said: "It's a tremendous achievement to represent the North West region. Alex, Liz, James and Alexander have each had strong seasons, training hard and fully deserve their place representing the region. Warrington has a strong track record of achievement at regional level and we wish all four much success at the National Championships in June."
Aex Weatherby, Liz Poyner, James Courtney and Alexander Flint are amongst the region's top young table tennis players. They train at Warrington Table Tennis Club and play for Warrington in the National Cadet and Junior Leagues, the Warrington & District League.
