Chee Ying, James Chappell and Jordan Glendenning each got their seasons up an running with success at the Blackpool and Burton Junior Opens on 18 September.
Three of Warrington TTC's youngest players got off to a flying start to the 2011-12 season with individual successes at the recent Blackpool and Burton tournament.
Twelve year-old James Chappell secured victory in the u13s age band and progressed well in the u15s at Burton. James' victory was all the more remarkable considering it was his first competitive series of matches since recovering from an ankle injury which kept him from training during August and September.
Congratulations were also in order for Chee Ying and Jordan Gendenning at Blackpool who both achieved runner-up medals in the U13s girls and boys plate competitions. "Jordan is still in his first year of competitive table tennis and for Chee it was her first-ever competitive ranking tournament. For both players to leave with plate runner-up medals should give them much deserved encouragement for the season ahead," said coach David Hulme.
